So it is al...Thanks for the answer to my question. So it is all down to you cannot limit free speech! Simplistically speaking. No I know that it not really true.

I guess what has made it seem endless this year is that neither side had a really fully endorsed candidate from the word go (despite what Ms Clinton expected) and so it has taken an endless time for the candidates to knock each other off in the full view of everyone on the 100 plus channels covering the events.

I do think it has been a very interesting race in many ways. Historic as well. But also comical at times and despairing.

Sadly I am still waiting for a woman president down South, but may it never be Ms Palin! But maybe after breaking the racial barrier it will seem easier for a woman in the not too distant future.

I hope you put this post in your round-up. Well I am officially nominating it so there.

On occasion we have certainly had a different party ruling the lower house and the Senate in Canada since Senators are appointed for life (till 75) and when the government in the lower house has changed they have often had to face a Senate with an opposing majority. Of course they usual come to some agreement with sometimes requiring amendments to keep everyone happy. Of course there is a movement which I would certainly support to have an elected Senate but easier said than done. I am also a big believer in proportional representation. All these things coming from my Australian background where voting was compulsory as well.

May the good guy prevail.jmbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13563252743976699923noreply@blogger.com
